Alok Sharma
Chairman & CEO of Atantri Communications, a pioneering India-headquartered company focused on delivering advanced 5G/4G cellular chipsets, including mixed signal RF transceivers covering sub-6GHz and mm wave frequency bands, that provide ultra-reliable, low-latency connectivity with enhanced energy efficiency.
Prior to Atantri, Alok Sharma was the Global Head of the Enterprise Cloud division at Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC). Prior to Ericsson, Alok was the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of StratusWorX, a company providing Infrastructure, Software, Security, Disaster Recovery and Backup, all as-a-Service, to large Enterprises and SMB customers. StratusWorX was acquired by Ericsson in July 2020.
Earlier, Alok was the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Alliances, at Harris-Stratex, Microwave Division of Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), where he was responsible for leading corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, as well as the development of key strategic relationships for the company. Beginning in June 2004, Alok was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Telsima Corporation, a global provider of 4th Generation (4G) broadband wireless solutions, until it was acquired by Harris-Stratex in February 2009.
Prior to Telsima, Alok was the Vice President and General Manager of the Worldwide Cable Business at Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR). Before Juniper Networks, Alok was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Broadband Communications which was acquired by Juniper Networks in December 2001. In his role as a Founding Entrepreneur, Alok built and led global teams across US, France, Slovenia and India. Prior to that, Alok held senior management and technical positions at Hewlett Packard, Amdahl (acquired by Fujitsu), Integrated Device Technology (acquired by Renesas Electronics) and Siara Systems (acquired by Ericsson).
Alok received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and BS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Roorkee, holds 11 patents and has authored several articles in leading academic and trade publications. Alok served on the Board of semiconductor company Sequans (NYSE: SQNS) from 2011-2022.

He played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Stratus Worx by Ericsson, showcasing his outstanding leadership and strategic sales expertise. Beyond his business achievements, he is deeply committed to addressing the skill gap between academia and industry. Over the past decade, he has developed the Practical Skills Acquisition Platform, filing five patents, underscoring his dedication to advancing education through innovation.
Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, he held key roles in prominent organizations like Honeywell, Tata Elxsi, Telsima Communications and Tejas Networks, contributing to groundbreaking product designs.
As a former board member of the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, he introduced impactful policies for air and water pollution control, spearheaded waste management digitization, and developed IoT platforms for environmental monitoring. He has also collaborated with Karnataka Police to provide innovative traffic management solutions.
